Composer Paula Matthusen's expansive, 24-hour, multi-tiered space for sonic engagement and reflection featured Olivia Valentine, Tung-Hui Hu, Singularity, and Metropolis artists.

This project was initiated and commissioned by Metropolis Ensemble and conductor / producer Andrew Cyr in 2020. You can support our site-specific performances.

Experience composer Ricardo Romaneiro’s immersive audiovisual symphony created for Cosm, the world’s first 87-foot diameter 12K LED dome and spatial audio system.

Hundreds of visitors gathered at sunrise and sunset for Simeon ten Holt’s “Canto Ostinato” with 52 musicians including Metropolis, Erik Hall, and Sandbox Percussion.

Since 2021, 30,000+ audiences have experienced Biophony projects in 125 locations across NYC with 650 artists and 43 new original commissioned musical works.
